Vendor Manager with Strong Project Management Skills

Location: Sunnyvale CA
Employment Type: Contract

  • Support Strategic Vendor Managers with the preparation, review and revision of vendor contracts (SOW, MSA etc), pricing, proposals, commercial terms, conditions and service agreements.
  • Prepare and schedule business review (QBR & MBRs) meetings with stakeholders to review vendor performance, future opportunities, and challenges
  • Support Strategic Vendor Managers by following up on action items, feedback from legal teams, suppliers and extended teams
  • Perform analysis on cost modeling and commercials for contracts as needed
  • Conduct discovery meetings and requirements gathering for vendor onboardings and new projects.  Ensure that stakeholder requirements, deliverables and expectations  are clearly documented and reflected in the SOWs
  • Ability to review and provide deal summaries to strategic vendor managers
  • Assist with  improving processes, developing playbooks, best practices and automation opportunities across contract management lifecycle
  • Work with cross functional teams as needed to and support vendor onboarding processes
  • Produce and manage project plans, action items tracker, roadmaps, Bi-weekly director status updates (presentation slides)  

Mid Level / Years of Experience (5-8 years)

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Finance, Procurement or Information Technology. Experience in Software, Hardware, procurement, finance background is a plus.

Term: 9 - 12 months initially. Can be extended as needed / after consideration

Additional Requirements

  • Advanced level of spreadsheets, use of metrics and basic data analytics is a must
  • Detail oriented,  flexible and have a sense of urgency
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Experience with interacting with multiple levels of management
  • Proven ability with organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Self starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion
  • Procurement/Finance/SAP/Software/Hardware experience is a plus

Systems and Tools: Google technology (Slides, Sheets, GSuit, Docs) is a plus. Otherwise proficient Microsoft experience (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word Doc)
